2024 FCS Foundation Virtual 5K Race Walk

100% of the FCS Foundation Virtual 5K Race Walk proceeds will support the FCS Foundation! The FCS Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization run solely by volunteers. The mission of the FCS Foundation is to establish a global support network to promote advocacy and education for patients and caregivers living with FCS. The FCS Foundation provides patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers the opportunity to identify and support best treatments, disseminate meaningful lifestyle management tools, and develop more accurate diagnostic systems for individuals. Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome (FCS) is a rare, life-threatening genetic disorder that prevents the body from digesting lipids. This disease frequently leads to symptoms such as pancreatitis — a very serious condition that causes inflammation of the pancreas and can lead to death. The Virtual 5K Race Walk must be completed within the week of September 29 - October 5, 2024

The Virtual 5K can be completed anywhere you choose - it just needs be a continuous 3.1 miles! The final deadline to submit race results is September 23, 2023 at 11:00pm (EST).

Record your 5K Race Walk with any tracking app or watch (Fitbit, Garmin, Apple Watch, Map my Run, Stava, etc.). Submit a snapshot of your time and a selfie or group picture to editor@livingwithfcs.org for a change to win a prize!

Each entry gets a race tshirt. Please note: tshirts may be delivered after race day based on registration.
